Senior tournament - Jun 13 - Salem

Details on the June 2009 Senior BQ tournament:

Tournament results

Wow! What an exciting year in the Senior BQ division! We challenged the quizzers at the beginning of the year to make a commitment to finish out the entire quiz season… We were thrilled to end the year with 23 quizzers! Not only did we retain this many quizzers, but many of them were able to finish memorizing their material, 411 verses for Intermediate and 520 verses for Experienced! This takes a lot of diligent study and personal discipline! What a wonderful Ministry to be involved in-helping young people hide the Word of God in their heart, that they might not sin against God!

We had a lot of fun handing out medals and awards at our District Finals! Ultimately we know God has rewards for them that we know not of! But it is always an exciting time to be given something you can hold in your hand for HARD WORK WELL DONE!!

We’re looking forward to NABQT!! Our top two teams in the Intermediate Division and our first place team in the Experienced Division will be going to represent Oregon. This is always an exciting time (even a little nerve wracking) as you go up against 40-50 teams that are some of the best around the nation! You get to meet lots of new friends and get reacquainted with the old-spending day in and day out quizzing, listening to devotions, praying, and seeking after God to bring you to new heights in Him! Oh, what a time!!

It is time for this season to be brought to a close for most of us, but January 2010 brings on a whole new year for all of us! Let’s get involved with quizzing in 2010 with “The Heart of Acts” -- If you’ve never quizzed before, if it’s just been a while, or if you’re involved year after year!! We want our 2010 season to be the best yet!! Come join us! Let’s see what God can do in and through us, as we give our best for His glory!!
